Olde Naples beaches are still beautiful.
 

The media is inundated with heartbreaking images; Fort Myers beach and the Islands are devastated and difficult for residents and support to reach, while ground and garage levels in older construction along the entire SWFL coastline suffered unprecedented 5-12 feet storm surges and flooding. New construction overall fared better.

My heart goes out to to all those who survived Ian and are facing unimaginable loss and hardship. Help is available for the uninsured at www.DisasterAssistance.gov at 1-800-621-3362.

I have many friends and clients asking how the Naples coast looks after the storm. Over the past week, I rode my bike west of 41 and took the following photos in an effort to convey the resiliency Naples has shown as our beautiful city works towards recovery and life after Ian.
